Group Calls on Senator Aduda, Others to Respond to Allegations of Corruption
Al-Musushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA), has called on Senator Philip Aduda, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to respond to allegations of corruption leveled against him and others over the withdrawal of N1.7 billion from the Goodluck Jonathan's campaign in 2015.
In a statement made available to Leadership Friday, the national president of AITA, Aminu Abubakar Majidadi, said the FCT senator is yet to respond to petition against him by stakeholders in the FCT, alleging that he in company of Senator Jubril Wowo and Yusuf Suleiman, Chairman of PDP FCT, had on a day before the 2015 general elections, withdrawn the sum of N1.7 billion from the Goodluck Jonathan campaign funds that was domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
According to Majidadi, the petitioners also alleged that his activities as Chairman Senate Committee on Power, especially the "Light up Nigeria" project, should be probed as it is another platform the Senator used to negotiate several billions of tax payers money.
